not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you: 11 They shall be even an abomination unto
you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination. 12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you. (see also Dt 14.1 to 21)

 Albacore,  Yellowtail,  Trout,
 Shad,  Lemon sole,  Salmon trout,
 Anchovy,  Limande-Plie,  Minnow,

 Athérine,  Ling,  Wrasse,
 Bass,  Wolffish (wolffish filet are forbidden),  snapper,
 Barbel,  Mackerel,  Sea dragon.
 Catfish (the Turbot is forbidden),  Whiting,
 Beryx,  White hake, Marines animals considered as edible for man according
 Bug,  Grouper, scripture. General characteristic : absence of scale and fin
 Bonito,  Salted cod, as for example :
 Bremen,  Rockling,  Eel,
 Pike,  Mullet,  Sea spiders,

 Cod,  Drum fish,  Angler fish,
 Capelin,  garfish,  Conger,
 Captain or Nile perch,  Pageot,  shellfish,
 Carp (Leather carp is forbidden),  Dentex,  Crab,
 Mirror carp (presence of scales has to be verify),  Bigeye,  Crustacean,
 Carpio,  Perch,  Swordfish (excluded by some, for they lose their scales),
 Plaice,  Plaice,  Sturgeon (exlcuded by some, for they lose their scales). T
Caviar is therefore excluded,
 Horse mackerel,  Priest,  Lobster,
 Hake,  Scorpion fish,  Monkfish,

 Sea bream (black, pink,  Jade,
gilthead or redfish also called rockfish),  Red mullet,  Wolffish (see image below on the right) : « Anarhichas lupus ».
Sometimes called « atlantic wolf », kind of catfish or also
 Smelt,  Pikeperch, called « boots eaters ». It is not to be mistaken with the bass,
 Emperor also called  Sarguo, who is sometimes called wolf or mediterrnean wolf, especially
orange roughy,  Sardine, in southern France.
 Flounder,  Salmon (the dogfish is forbidden),  Spiny lobster,
 Halibut,  Sole,  Moray,
 Roach,  Sprat,  Panga,
 Gobies,  Pout,  Catfish,
 Roughhead,  Tench,  Turbot (forbidden),

 Gunard,  Tuna which bonito, Yellow tuna or albacore, bigeye tuna, white  shark,
 Herring, tuna or germon, northern bluefin tuna, southern bluefin tuna,  Ray,
 Hoki, pacific bluefin tuna, tropical tuna, the others doesn‘t have  Saint Pierre (not considered kosher by everyone). Scientific name :
 Julian, scales and therefore are not koshers. « Zeus faber »,
