(Revelation 14: 14-20).
Many times Yeshua warned that there will be crying and
grinding of teeth. This expression is used at least 6 times
in the "Brit 'Hadasha" (the Renewed Covenant) especially
in Luke 13:28 (yc) where Yeshua says, « There will be
weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Avraham
and Yitz‟hak and Yaakov and all the prophets in the
kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out. » It is
therefore very useful to remind to the believers that it‘s
good to question oneself regularly, to examine oneself in
a good conscience in the light of the Scriptures... to
know if we are doing God's will (Matthew 7:21 to 27).
7. Feast of Atonement/ Yom Kippur :
« Yom Kippur » literally means: the day of atonement.
This is the third fast of which the prophet Zechariah

speaks. The first is the fast of the 4 month (which is 17

Tamuz), the second is the fast of the 5 month (which is
th
the 9 of Av), the third is the fast of the 7th month
th
(which is the 10 Tishri, the day of Yom Kippur) and the
th
th
fourth is the fasting of the 10 month (which is the 10
Thevet) (Zechariah 8:19).
The Everlasting, the God of Israel, announces that these
four days will be turned into days of joy and elation, in
days of rejoicing for the house of Judah. Thus and
precisely, on these dates, something very good will take
place not only for Israel but also for the nations that are
grafted on the root of Israel. These days are therefore
prophetic days. They will see through Yeshua HaMashia‘h
called THE CHRIST, their fulfillment come true.
But what is Yom Kippur ?
For this, let us return first to the source of the
Scriptures. Leviticus 23:26 to 32 (yc) tells us: « 26 And
The Everlasting spoke to Mosheh (Moses), saying:
27 « Also the tenth day of this seventh month
shall be the Day of Atonement (yom hakippurim:
םי ִִּ֣רֻּפִּכ ַה םוֹ ֧י) It shall be a holy convocation for
you; you shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering
made by fire to The Everlasting. 28 And you shall do no
work on that same day, for it is the Day of Atonement
(yom hakippurim: םי ִִּ֣רֻּפִּכ ַה םוֹ ֧י), to make
atonement (verb Kaphar: cover, to make the
Atonement) for you before The Everlasting your God.
29 For any person who is not afflicted in soul on that
same day shall be cut off from his people. 30 And any
person who does not work on that same day, that
person I will destroy from among his people. 31 You
shall do no manner of work; it shall be a statute
(‘hukah) forever throughout your generations in all
your dwellings. 32 It shall be to you a shabbat of
solemn rest (Shabbathon), and you shall afflict your
souls; on the ninth day of the month at evening, from

« …And according to the Torah almost all things are
purified with blood, and without shedding of blood
there is no remission forgiveness (Hebrews 9:22) ».
Elsewhere, it is also written that The Everlasting takes
pleasure in mercy: " Who is a God like You, pardoning
iniquity and passing over the transgression of the
remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger
forever, because He delights in mercy (Micah 7:18)».
Sacrifices were, then, a means of expressing The
Everlasting's grace in the face of sins, transgressions, and
iniquities.

Christ Yeshua, Himself emphasizes the merciful
